Princess is a community assist kitty. She was found and is being fostered outside of the gCat program, but is listed here as an assist extension of our program.
Found in a rough neighborhood in industrial Oakland. Princess is about 3 months old.
Here's what her foster family has to say about her:
When we found her, she was absolutely covered in fleas / flea dirt, had one dilated pupil, and a fever. We immediately took her to the vet, and she's currently on a course of antibiotics, ear mite medication, and dewormer. When we gave her flea bath the water ran red :( We had full blood work done to screen for known diseases (especially FIV) and all the tests came back negative.
Now we need to find her a forever home. We've been calling her Princess Boxcutter, and she is an incredibly cuddly kitty who likes standing on your shoulder, loves being pet, and follows us around the house. She doesn't really meow - it's sort of some awkward squeak that's absolutely heart melting. We have 2 terriers, and she gets along with them really well. She is skittish around larger dogs, but if the dogs are friendly I don't think that will be a problem. Make no mistake - I would LOVE to keep this little ball of adorable, but we have 2 cats already, and my partner didn't like the idea of "replacing" our older special needs cat.
She isn't fixed yet (a little too young) and definitely needs her 1st round of vaccinations, so I guess in a way she isn't exactly "free." But she comes with an itty bitty litter box and a lifetime of love.
